Cristina Scherer has been a photographer In New York City for 40 years. She studied black & white photography at Pratt Institute with Marvin Hoshino in the early 1980’s. Professor Hoshino was crucial in her decision to pursue still photography in general, and Street Photography in particular. Through him she was introduced to the work of the Master Street Photographer Helen Levitt. It was Helen who encouraged her to pursue her photographic work.
Cristina also studied Color Photography at Pratt Institute with Judy Lynn.
